  02 June 2025

The Seventy-eighth World Health Assembly has approved an update to the Global Action Plan (GAP) on antimicrobial resistance (AMR). The update aims to provide a practical framework for the next decade to achieve targets and commitments, including a 10% reduction in global deaths associated with bacterial AMR by 2030. The update will reflect a multisectoral One Health approach, aiming to balance and optimize health of people, animals, and ecosystems.
